The Need
Our client – an HVAC manufacturing company – approached us to help improve their product selection and ordering process. Their current product selection process was cumbersome with a high dependency on skilled Sales staff. All that the Sales team had at their disposal were traditional and hard-to-maintain collateral like data sheets, powerpoints and brochures.
Our Solution
We proposed an interactive Product Selection Guide. The solution captures the knowledge of Sales team and product experts to suggest items based on parameters specified by the user and ensures that the right product is chosen.
The user gets a visual navigation to drill down product options. There are interactive guides to help define his selection parameters. The solution suggests products based on the parameters defined by the user.
We studied the data sheets and graphs from the client and created algorithms based on which interactive graphs were designed for product comparison and selection.
Product information was made contextual, visual and interactive to aid the client. The solution architecture supports easy maintenance and updates.
Solution helps to close the sales deal faster with an in-built ordering and accessories selection module. User can also refer back to previous orders.
Product Selection Guide can be easily used by the Sales team and customer both. The application is designed with a clear user focus and care has been taken to see that the interfaces are intuitive and easy to understand.
